What to eat and where to eat.

A hundred years of chocolate. That is something worth celebrating.

Godiva was founded in Brussels, Belgium, in 1926 by Pierre Draps. One century later, the brand has become a name that chocolate lovers around the world (including here in the U.S.) know by heart. And this year, they are marking the milestone in the most fitting way possible: with chocolate.

What Is the Centennial Collection?

Godiva’s chocolatiers put together a special Centennial Collection, a limited-edition assortment they describe as featuring ten chocolates that have defined moments in the brand’s history.

The lineup includes some truly elegant-sounding pieces: Dark Chocolate Lady Godiva, Mirror, Vintage Heart, White Chocolate Lady Godiva, Fabiola, Caramel Lion of Belgium, Seashell Nordic Charm, and Raspberry Rose Delight, among others. Godiva calls the collection both nostalgic and innovative, a combination that sounds just about right for a hundredth birthday.

Where to Find It

The Centennial Collection is available now through the Godiva website and Amazon. You can also find it at select retail stores, including Bloomingdale’s and Macy’s.

It comes in two gift box sizes:

  • 10-piece gift box — $32
  • 20-piece gift box — $58

Godiva has also made some of its chocolates available on select United Airlines domestic First flights and at all six United Polaris lounge locations, though only for a limited time.

If you have ever gifted a gold Godiva box to someone you love (or been lucky enough to receive one) this centennial collection feels like a special occasion all on its own. One hundred years is a long time to make people happy. This seems like a lovely way to honor it.
